My first time visiting Huntington Beach, California.

I met my friend Michael Kass (pictured) for a photo shoot. Kass helps non-profits achieve their mission more effectively; he is also an excellent storyteller and performer. We did the “professional” shots and then some sillier ones.

I was also excited to get a new view of surfers.

I’ve never had a chance to photograph surfers from a pier before, which gave me a neat vantage point. I didn’t have my monopod with me but so what — the surfers were in wetsuits, which I found very novel, coming from a warm water climate. 🙂 I think the wetsuit gives this first surfer a superhero look — what do you think?
