I recently worked with Nabruk clothing on a fashion portrait shoot in Costa Rica.
Nabruk is a clothing line made in Costa Rica, by designer Claudia Miranda. The clothes have a lovely quality of movement. They are comfortable, versatile, with a simplicity that allows for casual, comfortable, elegant wear. I’m a fan! 🙂
The clothing designs are inspired by the magic and flow of nature . . . by the ocean, the wind, the roots . . . so we took that inspiration for the outdoor photo shoot, too, using color & textures of nature as our backdrop.
The beautiful woman in the photographs is Daniela de la Ossa. Daniella is not a professional model (though she’s certainly lovely enough to be!). I gave gentle posing suggestions and prompts to fit the style of Nabruk; we also laughed a lot and had fun.
In some of the photos I hoped to capture the style and movement of the clothing, as well as create a sense of magic and drama with our outdoor setting . . .
We were able to photograph many different outfits and in just a short amount of time.
Below is a little photo of me taken at another time and place. I was scouting a new location with a fellow photographer, Gio. Gio surprised me and I had no idea that big wave was coming – it made quite the thunderous sound when it hit the rock, hence my surprise! In the photograph, I am wearing a skirt by Nabruk.
Wishing you a wonderful day, and thanks for viewing!
Sincerely,
~ Oriana
